In lieu of their annual musicians and dancers summer school the RSCDS is moving the workshops online this year, giving both proficient musicians and those who might not otherwise have ventured to a musicians workshop a chance to participate.
The workshops will be on the RSCDS YouTube channel, on each of the three days from 10:30 am, with additional resources, including sound files, videos etc, made available as the week progresses, at craigellachie-band.co.uk/rscdsmusic.html (all resources will continue to be available until the end of September)
The workshops will cover a selection of Jig tunes on Tuesday, Strathspeys on Wednesday and Reels on Thursday - links to the sheet music to prepare for this are given below.
Music course Tue/Wed/Thur at 10:30 am - hosted as UNLISTED videos on the RSCDS youtube channel, accessed via www.rscds.org/events/dance-scottish-summer-celebration
The 3-day music course will look at two sets of of tunes per day (two jigs, two strathspeys then two reels) with coaching information, expert “set” advice and player advice
