This weekend we would have been at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall for the The Scottish Fiddle Orchestra concert which formed part of their 40th anniversary celebrations.
In lieu of their anniversary concerts this year (apart from the February one pre-lockdown, which we were able to attend) the Orchestra are sharing some memories including this weekend this tribute to their royal patron who also has a significant milestone anniversary this year (2 mins conversation and 4 mins music)
In lieu of their previous concert the Scottish Fiddle Orchestra shared a 40 min audio recording of their BBC1 appearance at the fiddlers rally at the 1983 mod, featuring jigs, reels, marches, strathspey, polkas, schottisches and songs from Mary Sandeman
We look forward to being able to join them in person once concerts are able to resume.
