Series 2 of the Big Scottish Book Club is about to start on Sunday evenings on BBC Scotland at 10.00 pm, or catch up via iPlayer www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000bc3j at any time, running from Sunday 25th October for 8 weeks
The show will feature writers from across Scotland and around the UK, representing a wide spectrum of styles and genres, incl fiction, non-fiction and poetry, and with both world-famous writers and emerging new talents represented.
Names publicised so far include:
Neil Gaiman, Richard Osman, Jojo Moyes, Lemn Sissay, Val McDermid, Kirsty Wark, Juno Dawson, Andrew O’Hagan, Kate Mosse, Sathnam Sanghera, Janey Godley, Jenny Lindsay, Sue Black, Kathleen Jamie, Kirstin Innes, Amanda Thomson, Heather H. Yeung, Jessica Fellowes with further names still to be announced.
The series will be filmed across two locations in Scotland and the writers will be discussing their work with Damian Barr and their fellow guests, as well as telling personal stories and giving exclusive readings.
(Those in Scotland who are members of a local library can read all sixteen books featured via the Library App on a phone/tablet.)
