Weekly RSCDS classes continue from 6th January ON A NEW ZOOM LINK (NB no change to our Harrow zoom link for our own meetings/general chat)
RSCDS zoom link for 2021
(recordings of classes from 2020 are available if you wish to revisit them, see previous threads below) ------------------------------------------
If you haven't accessed them yet, do join the online classes being taught for 30 mins each Wednesday at 7.00 pm while all our usual classes are suspended.
The class opens at 6.45 pm with 15 mins of scottish dance music from RSCDS-published CDs and the 1000 or so participants have the opportunity for text-based chat (or technical assistance from the zoom host, Angela Young, if needed).
From 7.00 pm, for 30 mins, an RSCDS teacher from Scotland, the rest of the UK, or any country in the world, will lead a class - we are fortunate to be able to enjoy so many different teaching styles and also be taught by some of the well-known teaching names..
From 7.30 pm for around 20 mins the zoom link remains open for more music and text-based chat, but our own members usually head over to our zoom for conversation which may cover aspects of the class, but also covers a wide range of general discussion ... why not join us on either the RSCDS link from 6.45/7.00 pm and/or our own HDCS Chat link from 7.30 pm (see newsletter for our HDCS zoom link

The weekly RSCDS class on Wednesdays has been running now for one year with the anniversary class being introduced and then taught by our first three teachers from April last year, Angela Young at her usual position "at the controls", then Mervyn Short taking us through a warm-up and setting and then Dave Hall assisted by two generations of his family taking us through the dance College Hornpipe.
A library of recordings of all the classes that the RSCDS has put on by zoom can be found at
